Dholera solar park is a 5GW solar power project being developed in two phases at Dholera SIR. In Phase-1 of 1000MW already tender awarded and 600MW solar park infrastructure development started by TATA Power and 200MW solar park infrastructure development started by O2 Power Pvt. Ltd. The solar park is a part of the government’s plan for establishing India’s first world-class greenfield Dholera smart city project announced in 2009. It also supports the government’s aim to produce 175GW of clean energy by 2022.

A six lane dual carriageway highway shall be built with provisions to extend it up to 10 lanes in Gujarat Dholera Metro city. This project had been proposed in the master plan of the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor and approved by the central government. The Ahmedabad–Dholera greenfield expressway is a part of the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) and is expected to be ready by December 2022.
